So many people (including me) grabbed one of the new art products by Jane Davenport. I love new art supplies and I have a lot of products that may seem the same but each one is different and special in its own special way. One of the products I couldn't wait to get my hand on was the Jane Davenport Mermaid markers! I though it would be fun to look at the difference between these markers and the other water soluble brush tip markers. 2 of my favorite colors from the Mermaid collection is Deep Sea (really dark rich purple) and Jellyfish (a muted pink purple) You can see the color swatches below. Since these are my current favorites I thought comparing purples would be fun.
If you want to hear more about each of these markers and their brush tips check out the review/comparison video on my YouTube channel or below.
The color variation cross these marker lines is interesting. Using the other colors in this set I did a little traditional illustration (below) and some mixed media art journaling (in myJunk Journal) and they worked well for both. So I will definitely put these in my travel art bag along with some of the other brush pens. ;)
Hope you enjoyed this little review! Leave a comment and let me know what other markers you love and what your favorite colors are!
