Sometimes you are running full steam ahead and you forget to look back and think about all the fun you have been having and challenges you stepped over! It has been a crazy creative and fun filled week of celebrations firsts and inspiration plus my birthday was on Wednesday August 16th so lets look back and do a Sunday to Saturday rundown with pictures! ;)
Sunday, August 13th
There was a carnival in the park where we live with games, rides and food trucks!
Elliot road all the rides and generally had a blast!
Bianca from Cloves & Honey came over and we discussed plans for the City & Sea class launch and we shot a few videos once of which being the fabulous City & Sea Explorer Series mixing sheet video below! Check out all those color options with this custom set!
Monday, August 14th
Lots and lots and lots of meetings but I had a fun lunch out and studio time for a few hours at night plus packed materials for the Autumn Art Bento Box and made some sample pieces for my City & Sea launch!
Tuesday, August 15th
I had an 10 hour meeting but it ended at one of my favorite restaurants ( Tinker Street ) I pre-launched City & Sea to my Facebook group Creative & Caffeinated and to my email subscriber list!
Wednesday, August 16th
Its My Birthday! I officially launched City & Sea to the world! Yay my very first solo online class! I have done a few years of fabulous group classes hosted by some amazing artists but I thought it was time to do one of my very own! Chris made vegan chocolate peanut butter cupcakes with mini chocolate chips on top (my favorite) and we went out for Pho! I spent the evening after dinner in the studio and played and created just for me. My #DrawRiotDaily page was colorful and happy and I also created an abstract piece to play and experiment with some new supplies. ;)
Thursday, August 17th
Woke up early and hit the studio to create a little abstract study for City & Sea. Hit the day and more meetings....... until 7pm.
Friday, August 18th
Worked from my new studio today! Organized hung work and got my new space almost ready for First Friday and my upcoming retrospective solo show Looking Back! (Studio Pictures coming soon!) I finished an abstract piece while in my studio and did some prep work for my Abstract Painted Page Collage mini class on Saturday at Nickelplate Arts in Noblesville Indiana.
Saturday, August 19th
Launched my first IN PERSON Studio Workshop: Abstract Painted Paper Collage! Now that have a larger studio and can host classes I decided to turn my 20 minute date night mini class into a full workshop! I spent the morning working up launch details and the evening teaching the mini version to a bunch of awesome creative people!

Yesterdays #DrawRiotDaily prompt was #Honey and I thought a bee illustration would be fun so I did a little pencil & ink illustration and then thought it would make a fun stencil or something out of it, once I posted it though Monica from The Creative Beast thought it would make a great coloring page I agreed and now we can all color, watercolor, paint etc this bee together!
