Who loves Sketchbooks?! I DO I DO!
I am back with week two series 2 of sketchbook practice 2018! We have a super simple supply list this week and will be looking at learning from mistakes. I find that some of my best ideas come from exploring my materials or my process in unintended ways and that is exactly what we are working on today – going with the flow!
This week are exploring, Going with the Flow
Supplies:
Your Sketchbook: Mine is a Global Art Hand Book Watercolor Journal (landscape)
A Pencil
High Flow Acrylic Paint
Acrylic Ink
Check out the video below to see the process I used for this exercise. If you don't have High Flow Acrylic Paint feel free to use whatever paint you have on hand, just mix a bit of water to it to get it to flow a bit more.
Now that you have let go and just allow yourself some play time, keep on going! Make your own mistakes and get messy! Your sketchbook is a place to explore play and experiment!
I hope you enjoyed this quick sketchbook exercise and I hope are able to find some time to explore! It is never a to late to start creating and exploring your creative process.
If you want some extra Sketchbook fun check out my $5 Sketchbook Practice Mini Class! It has 11 exercises to get you creating and filling up your sketchbook in no time! I would also love for you to share your pages and explorations in my Facebook group Creative & Caffeinated and/or on Instagram using hashtag #DrawRiotSketchbookSeries I find that sharing with an online creative community helps keep me going and inspired!
Until next time! Enjoy Your Creative Journey!
